The talented 16-year-old Attacking Midfielder was on fire during the 6-4 win over Arsenal at Hotspur Way this afternoon. He also linked up with Tynan Thompson in the game, registering his 6th assist of the season.

After going 1-0 down in the opening 5 minutes, Lehane Ellis opened the scoring for Spurs Academy for the equaliser. Who was pressed hard by Luca Williams-Barnet, forcing the keeper to give the ball into the path of Ellis who fired it back across him into the bottom left corner.
Luca Williams-Barnett’s stunner from 25 yards found the top corner to give the hosts a 2-1 lead for the first time. Arsenal quickly equalised soon after on the break. Arsenal took a 3-2 lead again through Dan Casey which found Spurs trailing before the brink of halftime.
Jun’ai Byfield’s volley from close range put Spurs level on just before halftime. A Corner from the left was headed down and caused panic for the young Arsenal defenders and Byfield steered it in from close range. It finished all square at Halftime.
After the break, Luca Williams-Barnett’s press pays off yet again, He wins it back on the left and found Tynan Thompson, Who beat several Arsenal men on his run into the box, before firing it accross the keeper and into the bottom right corner to put spurs 4-3 up in what appeared to be a very dominant 10 minutes into the second half.
Malachi Hardy makes it 5 for Spurs, The corner was swung in from the right by Harry Byrne and Hardy rose high to head it home. Arsenal pulled one back from the spot through Dan Casey again 5-minutes later to make the score 5-4.
A Red card from the visitors after a dangerous challenge on the edge of the area in the 90th minute gave Tottenham another chance to excel in this thriller. Who else but Luca Williams-Barnett. He fired home the free-kick and put the game beyond any doubt.

Luca Williams-Barnett is 16 years of age, born 1st October 2008 from Luton. He plays in the Attacking Midfielder role. This season in the U18PL he has 12 Appearances, registering 17 goals and 6 assists.
He is quickly becoming one of Tottenham’s hot talents in the youth academy. One of his top traits currently is the way he can move into space and adapt quickly during attacking phases of play allowing him more free space to find the next chance or strike very similar to the one he has just produced. He is also a very good player off the ball, his pressing and determination to win balls back is an asset to this young team.
If he keeps this form up, he could very quickly find himself charging through the ranks of the academy. Succeeding the likes of Dane Scarlett, Mikey Moore & even Harry Kane!
